About X ENPEC

The national meeting of Science Education Research (ENPEC) happens once every two years and it`s organized by the Brazilian Association of Research in Science Education (ABRAPEC). Its tenth edition will be held from November 24 to November 27 2015, in Águas de Lindoia - São Paulo. The event aims to bring together and promote the interaction among researchers in the areas such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Sciences, Environment, Health and related fields. The idea is to discuss recent research papers and deal with themes of interest to the science educators community. Among the planned activities, we may include conferences, round tables, meetings for presentations (as Individual Communications sessions and Coordinates Communications) as well as debates and meetings of scientific societies. The ENPEC target audience is formed by people interested in educational research in different areas such as Natural Science, Health and Environment. We may include in the audience professors-researchers of basic and higher education, undergraduate and graduate students, teacher trainers and researchers.

The X ENPEC central theme is Educational Policies and Science Education: impacts on research, teaching and professional training. This choice was based on the fact that, in the Brazil current political moment many changes are bandied about the educational context in its various levels. With the X ENPEC, the community of researchers in Science Education will be able to discuss and debates, which may contribute to the science education professionals to participate in purposeful and systematic manner in the national debate.
